OK stay
We arrived at the hotel and got our room right away, place seems nice it is on the river and we walked to the pool area to check it out next door (allowed to use pool) but weather was cool and pool cold. We went to look for a place to eat and we found one near hotel but the food were no good. The breakfast at the hotel was ok alot of asian type of food. There is a parking area in front of the hotel but it fills up quickly so once you find a spot you do not move.

What was the highlight of Riverhouse Resort
Good quality for such a remote location.
Deluxe room with balcony overlooking the Yuam River had a great view. Lovely teak furniture and everything basic but clean. Pretty good for a remote area and at a fair price. Older people should note that there is no lift but the stairs are wide and easy to use. Breakfast was basic but quite adequate. Staff are absolutely lovely and helpful. Food options around the hotel are plentiful, reasonably priced and clean. We stayed here years ago as well and will return. The ethnic mix around the area is just fascinating. Once you get an hour out of town I found that many people did not even speak Thai.
Shower water pressure was excellent but balancing hot and cold was challenging! Could only find one power point in the room. Good size balcony but no outdoor furniture to enjoy it. Apart from these quibbles, it’s a great hotel for an area four hours from Chiang Mai and very close to Burma.
